General Secretary Kim Jong Il inspected KPA Air Force Unit 814.

He watched pilots´ flight training after acquainting himself with the unit´s performance of duty.

Watching the training of matchless courageous airmen, he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the unit has fully prepared all of them to be human bombs in the sky like hero Kil Yong Jo. He advanced tasks to be fulfilled by the unit to increase its combat capability in every way.

All the pilots are strong in ideology and faith as they are replete with ardent patriotism to readily dedicate their youth and lives to defending the country, he said, adding that the country is impregnable as such loyal ranks are reliably standing guard over the blue sky of the country.

To live heroically and become a hero means the most worthwhile life and the greatest honor for an independent human being, he remarked, urging all of them to become heroes in the sacred struggle to defend the country.

He moved on to a women´s company under the direct control of the unit. He took warm care of its soldiers´ service and living as a real father would do, making the rounds of an educational room, a bedroom, a mess hall, a wash-cum-bath house, a daily provision store and other places.

He was greatly pleased to learn that the company has successfully built entertainment and educational facilities as well as supply service facilities and conducted effective political and ideological work in various forms and by diverse methods and that all its soldiers have fully enjoyed a cultural and emotional life.

He highly praised the soldiers of the company for having brought about innovations in stock-breeding and sideline farming with extraordinary enthusiasm.

Noting that the appearance of all the units has undergone a radical change, he said that this signal turn is the precious fruition of a high degree of revolutionary character, militancy, organization and discipline, the special qualities of the KPA that has carried forward the glorious traditions of the anti-Japanese struggle.

He had a photo session with the servicepersons of the unit.

He was accompanied by Jang Song Thaek, member of the NDC of the DPRK and department director of the WPK Central Committee, and KPA Generals Hyon Chol Hae and Ri Myong Su.
