-At the Songdowon international Children’s Camp-

Hundreds of children from many countries such as china, Russia, Mongolia and Tanzania spent pleasant camping days this year with Korean children, which is an annual event as Songdowon international camping life.

Campers train their body and soul through diverse activities such as songs, dances and sports. On the “National Day” they introduce the history, geography and customs of their respective countries and peoples, understand one another and possess wider knowledge about the world. Through this course, they nurture the feelings that aspire after beautiful things, love peace and value friendship.

This year the domestic situation of the DPRK became strained owing to the moves of the United States and its satellite forces.

But the door to camping was wide open to children no matter how tense the situation was. Therefore, campers have said they were able to spend a pleasant camping life thanks to the policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea which regards the children as “kings” of the country.

The head of a Chinese delegation who visited this camp made an entry in the visitor’s book: “Song of peace resounds over the beautiful Songdowon, decorating the rainbow of friendship.”

Children from many countries, heroes of a new peaceful and prosperous world, keep the significant camping days as a valuable recollection in their hearts.
